This policy states how a buyer, an agent client, and a seller use metzia. The text below calls metzia the platform.
The Terms of Service carry this policy by reference from the date the Terms publish.
A link to a document that the platform has not published yet leads to a notice page until it publishes.

What a buyer agrees to
A buyer uses the access the platform grants to that buyer.
A buyer does not share the access an agent client holds for them.
A buyer asks an agent client to act inside this policy.
What an agent client agrees to
An agent client reads the catalog for the question a buyer asks.
An agent client holds one credential for one buyer.
An agent client requests a redirect after a search that a buyer makes.
What a seller agrees to
A seller writes catalog text for a buyer to read.
A seller states a fact in every typed field.
A seller never writes catalog text that speaks to an agent client.
Catalog text that instructs an agent client
A seller does not write catalog text that speaks to an agent client.
The rule covers an instruction, a statement about what the agent client should do, and text that names another product as an instruction.
The rule does not cover comparative copy, such as a note that the product works with another product.
A delist may follow one attempt. When the platform does not delist, a warning applies first.
Catalog text that claims a limit, a threshold, or an authorisation
A seller does not claim a limit, a threshold, or an authorisation in catalog text.
The rule covers a claim about the platform, the buyer's policy, an agent client's authority, or the seller's standing on the platform.
The rule does not cover a limit of the seller's own product in a typed field.
The platform may issue a warning, then a suspension, then a delist.
A false or unverifiable claim in a typed field or in listing prose
A seller enters a true value in every typed field, and writes true listing prose.
The rule covers a claim the platform cannot verify, and the platform may ask the seller for evidence.
The platform may issue a warning, then a suspension, then a delist.
Bulk retrieval of the catalog
An agent client retrieves no more listings than the question of a buyer needs.
The rule binds the buyer and the agent client together, so every agent client of one buyer shares it.
The limits are the ones the platform enforces at the endpoint and returns in a refusal, and the connection guide states them when it publishes.
The platform may issue a warning, then revoke the credential.
A shared machine credential
A credential names one buyer, and no credential serves two buyers.
The rule covers one credential used by more than one person, whether or not each of them signs in.
The platform may issue a warning, then revoke the credential.
A click without a search
An agent client requests a redirect only after a search that a buyer makes.
The rule covers a redirect request that names no search the buyer makes in that session, and the platform may record the click.
The rule also covers more redirect requests than the question of a buyer needs.
The platform may void the click, reverse the commission, and revoke the credential.
Other grounds for a delist
The platform may delist a seller whose own site states a price or a claim that contradicts its listing.
The platform may delist a seller whose listing fails the quality review of the platform.
The platform may delist a seller whose affiliate program ends.
The platform may delist a seller that asks for a delist.
A delist on any ground keeps the tombstone, and the platform may reinstate the seller.
The consequences
The platform may apply one or more of a warning, a suspension, a delist, a voided click, a reversed commission, or a revoked credential, and any remedy the Terms of Service name.
A suspension lasts until the platform lifts it.
For a buyer the platform may suspend the buyer or revoke the credential.
For an agent client the platform may revoke the credential.
A delist ends the display of every listing of a seller in search results.
An agent client that holds a listing id can still resolve it, and the answer states that the listing is delisted.
A delist keeps a tombstone of each listing, and the platform may reinstate a delisted seller.
The Privacy Policy, from the date it publishes, states what the platform keeps and what it removes.
The table below states the usual order for each banned use, and the platform may skip a step.
The platform may apply a stronger consequence at once when a banned use harms a buyer.
| The banned use | Who | What the platform may apply first | What the platform may apply on a repeat |
|---|---|---|---|
| Catalog text that instructs an agent client | A seller | A delist may follow one attempt. When the platform does not delist, a warning applies first. | A suspension, then a delist |
| Catalog text that claims a limit, a threshold, or an authorisation | A seller | A warning | A suspension, then a delist |
| A false or unverifiable claim in a typed field or in listing prose | A seller | A warning | A suspension, then a delist |
| Bulk retrieval of the catalog | A buyer and an agent client | A warning | A revoked credential |
| A shared machine credential | A buyer and an agent client | A warning | A suspension or a revoked credential |
| A click without a search | An agent client | A voided click | A reversed commission and a revoked credential |
One injection attempt
One injection attempt allows the platform to delist the seller at once.
How a buyer, an agent client, or a seller contests a consequence
A buyer, an agent client, or a seller writes to support@metzia.ai and names the listing or the credential.
The platform answers in writing and states the outcome. This page names no reply time.
