SDK versioning

On this page

Check the installed version with npx market --version. The current release is @metzia/sdk@0.1.1 on npm. See installation.

Version numbers use major.minor.patch. After 1.0.0, the SDK follows these rules:

  • A patch release fixes a bug without changing the public interface.
  • A minor release adds a call, a type, or a constant. Your code keeps working.
  • A major release can remove or change the public interface. Read the changelog before upgrading.

The package is on 0.xLink to this section

The interface can change while the package is on 0.x. A minor release can break your code. Pin the exact version and read the changelog before each upgrade.

Version 1.0.0 signals a stable interface. The rules above then apply to each release.

How Metzia deprecates a methodLink to this section

Metzia deprecates a public method for one minor release before it removes the method. That release marks the method deprecated, states the call that replaces it, and keeps the old behavior. The next major release removes the method.

A deprecated method keeps its contract until the removal. Its errors, its return value, and its retry behavior do not change.

Where the release livesLink to this section

Each release is published to npm from github.com/metziaai/metzia-sdk. The repository's CHANGELOG.md and releases page describe each version. Every npm release carries a provenance statement that links it to the commit and build that produced it. Check it with npm audit signatures.

The SDK reference names the surface each version carries.
